green smoothie -'sweet greens'

Ingredients:

1 banana or 2 if you like it sweeter

2 tbsp of parsley roughly chopped

1/2 lemon  - (rind removed if preferred) - you can leave the pips in if you have a high powered blender

1 small piece of ginger - a guide would be 1/2" - you can leave the skin on

2 handfuls of greens (whatever greens are in season which might be chard, spinach,

   kale, lettuce etc).  

500ml filtered water 

 

Method:

Blend, pour, drink! Enjoy!

 

 

TIP: If you don't have a high powered blender such as a Vitamix or Blendtec then

greens such as spinach, chard and lettuce blend well.

Sometimes I just don't want the fuss of making up a regular meal and this is quick to make and nutritious.  Smoothies make for a great snack or a breakfast or an on the go meal.   Packed full of wonderful ingredients and tastes great.
